Chuckling to himself Viti watched Matchsticks caw on his branch, to be born with only one form was truly unfair. Everything was going smoothly considering that both Chosen with the crane were more than willing to join him on his search for answers. Viti felt almost silly for being so careful with his suggestion but in the end he got what he had wanted.
As a group they would hopefully find at least one of the totems faster than one person would and Viti’s survival rate was also higher. If the situation demanded it, one of the two could be sacrificed in order for the crane to live. Not that he hoped for such a situation to occur, the rest of the trip would be very dull without someone to chat with!
”Mmm, yes, quite so.” The tall bird agrees with Matchsticks and spreads out one of his wings, inspecting the long and dark flight feathers with great interest. ”Although I wouldn’t mind being only black, it goes better with the red on my forehead you know. The white is, hm, a bit problematic. Difficult to keep clean, goodness me- you can’t even imagine all the grooming that I must do at the end of the day!” So dramatic, but to him it was important.
With a soft sight the crane hops down from his branch, landing on the ground without a sound and quickly glanced at the other Chosen. ”I say we depart to the pine forest and meet up with the crows friend if they happen to be around. At once! Let's go find us some answers, shall we?” Viti was in high spirits.
They had a vague plan, a direction and a goal, wasting more time here with the stinking cow corpse would be pointless. If something needed to be discussed, they could do it while moving.

"I didn't want to be!", Ganymedes shouted back at the crow, ears pinning, "I never wanted to be this monster! If you could take it from then I'd be glad to pass it on! You try dealing with the constant agony!"
They turned away and grumbled, claws digging at the ground as they took one last bite of the cow and turned to Viti, eyes softened, "I think the white looks nice."
They were awfully mellow, probably exhausted from the hunt.
Ganymedes perked up at the thought of an adventure, and stood up tall, shaking their head out and licking their chops, "I'd like to go. I think it would be entertaining."
The wolf padded forward and sniffed at the ground, "Though I'd like to find a stream or something to wash my fur in."
They looked up at the others, his red eyes bright against the black fur of his face as he looked between them, "A horse? Hm. They could help us possibly defend ourselves against whatever's out there."
Horses didn't have claws, though...
We're off on an adventure!!

Matchsticks paused at the mention of the pines. The calculations going on in his head were almost visible, the confused, glazed look in his ruby-glow eyes stretching out into a long pause.
"BELOW THE PINES," he cawed, at last, abruptly.
But Ganymedes' tirade quickly eclipsed Matchsticks' questionable map-making capabilities, and he flinched, looking down at the werewolf with a sour glare. "What's wrong with bein' a monster?! You just killed a cow! Like it was NOTHIN'! the crow pointed out. As far as he was concerned, Ganymedes was just strong as all hell.
"Find your water! I'll see if I can find Elerrian and we can search! CAW! -CAW, CAW-!" he added, raising from the tree in an explosion of noise and fluttering feathers.
He didn't think much about Viti's grooming habits, or the white feathers--the rather self-centered little bird didn't care about any of that. He wasn't white, so he, in his slightly blunt mentality, couldn't really address this mentally in any meaningful way. Empathy just wasn't there.
He winged away, then, calling down as he went: "I'll meet you west! -The way the sun falls. You'll hear me! CAW!"
Hopefully, his voice would be navigation aid enough.

"And there he goes." Viti spoke while watching the crow fly away, vanish among the dark treetops. Turning his attention back to Ganymedes, the crane felt like crying from joy because they had complimented the troublesome white feathers!
That small thing alone made the shifter one of the best Chosen in Viti's mind, keep the compliments coming and the crane would start following them everywhere.
He had planned to just head towards the meeting point alone, Viti had a good sense of direction after all. As a migrating bird, he could tell west from north without too much trouble.
That sense wasn't waterproof but very handy nevertheless. BUT. Ganymedes had gained his favor, for now, so the tall bird felt obligated to tag along the wolf.
"A place to wash yourself? We can arrange that, come my friend! There ought to be a stream or two along the way to the woods." And with that Viti began to trot forward, perhaps he could take a little dip in the water himself. It would be only polite to be clean if they were going to meet a new Chosen later on!

Ganymedes seriously regretted not snapping at the crow while he could. He'd be a horrid meal, all bones and feathers, but at least he wouldn't be saying such things... they watched the crow leave with a half-rabid look, such rage in their chest that it only begun to fade as the bird took his leave.
"Stupid crow," he spat, tail lashing angrily, "I wish I ate him when I did."
Stupid crow and his stupid backhanded compliments.
The wolf shook their head out, as if it would help shake off the anger, and began to trudge forward, before Viti spoke. They flicked an ear back and stopped, turning to face him, blinking.
"Oh. Er... thank you," he said, "You're too kind."
He trotted forward after the bird, quickly catching up. He wondered what it would be like to have wings, a large pair of feathered ones, or maybe ones like a bat. Either way, they'd come in handy, though he wondered how they'd fair when dashing through the woods, smacking into branches. Not good, he sighed.
Ganymedes followed the crane silently, only talking if spoken to, appreciating the company.
Exit Ganymedes.
